Day 1-3:

On arrival in Hanoi, transfer to your hotel and meet the other families joining you on this great adventure, before an intriguing visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum. Escape to the serene Temple of Literature and uncover fascinating history at the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison, before an evening performance of the famous water puppets delights. A scenic drive past farmers working the rice paddies brings you to World Heritage listed Halong Bay where you board an exciting boat cruise and float past hundreds of soaring limestone mountains. Day 4-5:

Day 8-12:

The whole family will enjoy the trip to the amazing Cu Chi tunnels where you have the chance to crawl through the tunnels yourself and view the playful wildlife at a nearby animal shelter. Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Hanoi Arrival

Meet on arrival at Noi Bai International airport, transfer Hotel in Hanoi for check in. (If the time persmits), we will take cyclo tour (2 hours), visit to The Old Quarter of Hanoi and Ngoc Son Temple. Dinner at Seasons restaurant. Drop off at Thang Long theatre for water puppet show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art. This art originates from rural festivals in Vietnam. The artists-men and women-stand waist-deep in the water to manipulate the puppets, making them move about, talk and laugh and even dance on the surface of the water. Take part in a welcome dinner and transfer to hotel.

Day 2 : Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hai Phong

Breakfast at hotel. Then we will have a day tour visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and the whole October and November) Residence and One Pillar Pagoda. Drive to Halong, 180 km east of Hanoi. On arrival take a wooden boat and have seafood lunch on board. Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. A 4-hour boat trip will visit to Thien Cung and Dau Go grottoes. Drop off in Halong town. Proceed to Haiphong transfer to hotel for check-in Dinner and accommodation at hotel

Day 3 : Hai Phong – Hanoi – Fly to Danang

Breakfast at hotel Drive to Hai Phong, visit to the Garden theatre, Du Hang Pagoda and Kenh temple. Transfer back to Hanoi Lunch at Koto restaurant (or Brother Cafe as alternative) Visit to Temple of Literature built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university, Quan Thanh Temple and Fine Art Museum. Transfer to the Hanoi airport. Depart Hanoi by (VN 317, 17:00pm) for Danang. Arrive in Danang at 18:15pm. Check in hotel in Danang. Dinner and accommodation at hotel

Day 4 : Danang – Hoi An Walking tour

Breakfast at hotel then visit Cham Museum; Marble Mountain and China Beach. transfer to Hoian. Lunch at White Lanterns restaurant. Discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. Visit the Phuc Kien hall, Japanese covered bridge, Tan Ky old house and the workshop of traditional occupation of Hoi An ancient town. Dinner at Riverside Garden restaurant.

Day 5 : Hoi An – Hue City tour

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Hue across the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean Clouds), passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. Arrival on Hue, the royal city of Vietnam’s last ruling dynasty and transfer to the Saigon Morin Hotel or similar, then visit Tu Duc tomb, Lunch at Club Garden restaurant. Boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Visit Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba Market. Dinner and accommodation at hotel.

Day 6 : Hue – Fly to Saigon – Saigon City tour

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer from Phubai airport. Depart Hue by (VN251, 9:10) for Ho Chi Minh. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 10:25am and transfer to the Equatorial Hotel or similar. Lunch at Vietnam House restaurant. City tour: visit China town, Thien Hau Pagoda, History Museum and former Presidential Palace. Make photo stops at the famous tourist sites such as Notre Dame Church, and Central Post Office. Dinner and accommodation at hotel.

Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 7 : Saigon – Departure

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho ( L )

8:00 AM Pick up at your hotel in HCMC. Depart for My Tho .Take a boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise island and have lunch in the orchard.

Enjoy a boat ride through Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle. Enjoy a rowing boat ride along the creeks. After taking a delightful walking through the fruit plantation,village. Proceed to Can Tho. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your proposed hotel in Can Tho. (Family home stay can be arranged on request.)

Option 1 : Stay in a hotel in Can Tho

Check into your hotel on arrival at Can Tho. Free to explore the city on your own in the afternoon. You can also visit a village, meet the local people, have dinner with them and enjoy their music. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Cantho.

Option 2 : Homestay ( D )

Transfer by motor boat to a small village in Cai Rang district. Check into your riverside cottage. In the afternoon, go cycling or trekking around the village to experience the rural lifestyle of the Mekong Delta people. Join a family as they prepare dinner, then share the meal with them. Enjoy an evening of traditional folk music with your neighbors. Overnight in your riverside cottage.

Day 2: Phong Dien – Cai Rang ( B / L )

7:00 AM After breakfast, take the morning boat trip to visit the Phong Dien floating market which is at its busiest at this time of day. Keep cruising through the small channels system and visit a rice noodle making village. Experience the “Monkey Bridge” in the Delta. Visit a second floating market (Cai Rang). Break for lunch. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.
